- being unheard,
- feeling unsupported
- feeling unloved
The pain of facing the reality we are, as a child is too overwhelming, so it is better to put on a brave face and pretend all is well in our world.
In time this effects our body, for all dis-ease begins in the mind. So our very cells are now feeling overwhelmed by life, and most likely something that has triggered a memory – even the littlest triggers, that we probably weren’t aware of. Now enter our internal environment....our cells are outnumbered about 10-1 by bacteria, virus, fungi and parasites. AND we need these for SO many metabolic and other processes to keep us healthy and the body in harmony.
Most people’s understandings that “germs are bad”, and maybe a child might think that “to get sick is bad, or that “they” have been bad! So the cells “hide behind a brave face,” convince themselves that “all is okay” and struggle on. Just as the mind is! If the mind were balanced and looking at life through healthy supportive perspective, the body/cells would see the bacteria that were not balanced (or would understand the right balance better), and be able to take appropriate action. The body would then set up an immune response and deal to the “out of balance bugs” and restore harmony within.
Fast forward – over time, the bacteria have become so overwhelming that the immune system has gone into denial mode, or really hiding behind the facade of “she’ll be right mate, nothing I cannot handle” mode and you have a serious health issue on hand. One the doctors will most likely call an “auto immune disease”.
Now this is just ONE take on how this can happen, as each individual is totally different, as are their circumstances at the beginning /root of their issue, and now, when they seek help.
So what happens now.
Well if a person seeks help and gain clarity on the things that could have contributed to this way of thinking, therefore the root of the dis-ease, then the body has an awesome chance to heal.
To begin to “see” things for what they “really are” – no judgment, criticism, shame or blame. The past is the past – NOW is what we need to change, to be able to heal and move on.
The threats and traumas of the past are not (usually) still present in our lives, yet our very cells are recalling those memories every time we think a certain way, or see certain triggers. We can help the cells to erase these memories quite simply.
Once we can “see” the issue – really understand the roots of it – then we can begin to pull the issue out by the roots. This may mean an immune response by the body, as it becomes stronger and more able to address the “out of balance” bacteria. First we have to get it to see what the issue really is, give it tools and support to feel safe and have the strength to deal with the issue and then it will spontaneously go – “yeah – I am over this, this condition has got my owner down for too long, and I am going to fight for him/her and restore harmony inside.” My person deserves better than this!
So if you have an immune response get excited, cause it means that your body has found the courage, strength and tools to "stand up for you and demand balance and harmony and can actually SEE that what is unbalanced, therefore has stopped "hiding!"
How I support my clients in situations like this, is to
- address the mind/thinking patterns and harmful beliefs
- teaching tools to “catch themselves” when they find they are slipping back into old patterns
- removing the charge around the triggers that are causing the repeating of the patterns
And they will, because most likely this is something that has been going on for many years and they have gotten really good at it – changing a habit takes practice and a little time!
I also have in my tool box, doTERRA aromatherapy oils to assist with the physical and mind/emotional aspects of healing as well as the First Light Flower essences to raise the vibration and assist in changing patterns that are destructive or just unhealthy.
